About Wilfred James Hammond
Wilf (Will) was a jockey and died in a racing accident in 1924 while driving a sulky in a trotting event at Richmond Race Course.
According to the findings of an inquest in June, Wilf (Will) was injured on 26th May and died at St Vincent's Hospital, Fitzroy, of brain injuries on the 28th May 1924.
