About Wilfred Thomas Harrison
Wilfred Harrison and Hilda White were married in a very pretty wedding at the Methodist Church, Traralgon, in a June Wedding 1910, by the Rev. W. G. Lester in the presence of a large congregation.
Wilfred.T. Harrison, was a Methodist Home Missionary, stationed at Strathbogie, near Euroa.
Hilda Estelle White, was the second daughter of Lydia and George White, of Traralgon.
The church decorated by the lady friends of the bride, a floral wedding bell with the initials of the couple suspended over the aisle.
As Hilda entered the church, on the arm of George, her father, she carried a handsome shower bouquet, and the Wedding Hymn played on the organ. Bridesmaids Daisy, Ruby, and Ethel Neander (half sisters of the bridegroom) carried bouquets of pink roses. Bert. Coates was best man. Leaving the church the Wedding March was played. At " Wattle Park," the home of the bride's parents, was the venur for a sumptuous wedding breakfast. Following the usual toasts Rev. W. G. Lester presented the bride, on behalf of the Church and Sunday School with a handsome silver teapot and bread fork. Good wishes were offered for future happiness and prosperity. Wilfred responded thanking all for kind wishes. Wilfred and Hilda Harrison left by the evening train for a honeymoon tour, amidst showers of rice, confetti and good wishes from those who had assembled at the station to see them off. A large number of useful and ornamental presents were received.
