Renesanční jádro s mladšími úpravami, současná podoba z počátku 20. století dle plánů W. Mikulaschek a. Původně renesanční dům byl vystavěn snad v 16. století už jako pivovar a sladovna. Hlavní část výstavby byla soustředěna do ulice U Horní brány a ČSA, tedy na jižní část parcely. Část k severu - k potoku - byla zpočátku nezastavěná. Nejstarší zprávy o koupi pivovaru pochází z roku 1601. V roce 1626 celý dům vyhořel a spáleniště převzala obec. Pronajímala postupně opravovaný pivovar a sladovnu jednotlivým měšťanům nebo i cizím sládkům. V roce 1717 koupila obec kus dvora od sousedního domu (U Horní brány 1, čp 28) a rozšířila dům. Tehdy už patrně bylo vystavěno dvorní křídlo, které se stalo základem severního domu. V následujících letech prodává obec dům společnosti ,,Schank - und Bräubürgerschaft", která jej v roce 1870 prodala firmě ,,Gebrüder Kubelka". Ještě za vlastnicvtí společnosti bylo dvorní křídlo zvednuto na jednopatrové ( 1865) a za Kubelků byly oba domy spojeny. Spojovací trakt byl překlenut valenou klenbou do traverz. V roce 1896 byl dům modernizován. V roce 1906 vznikla fasáda jižního domu dle plánu W. Mikulascheka, který současně navrhl i celou rekonstrukci domu.."
