Willard Duane Wiberg, 89, of Hatton, ND passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Sanford Healthcare Center in Fargo, ND.
Willard Duane Wiberg was born June 20, 1925 in Crookston, MN to Tenus and Alice (Lucken) Wiberg. He grew up and attended school in Crookston. Duane joined the United States Navy. He served on the U.S.S. Carina from 1943-1945 and on the U.S.S. Bristol from 1945-1946.
After serving in the Navy, Duane worked as a truck driver for a construction company. He also worked for Western Potato Company and for Pillsbury.
Duane loved fishing, playing cards, deer hunting, and visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine, Hatton, ND; son, Wesley (Donna) Wiberg, Jamestown, ND; grandchildren: Jason (Heidi), Devils Lake, ND; Ryan, Avon, SD; Travis (Heather), Wahpeton, ND; four great-grandchildren; sisters: Audrey (Edward) Doyle, Fosston, ND; Vivian (Richard) Anderson, Fosston, ND; Viola (Don) Moen, Denver, CO; Sharon (Morris) Haugen, Crookston, MN;
Preceding him in death were his parents, son Wayne Wiberg, brother Clarence Wiberg, and sister Ardell Olson.
