Uncle Willard and his brother Robert Kenneth were close to each other due to their close ages. Willard ran his own small trucking business for many years. He had two wives the first died of cancer. Viola was his second wife who I had the opportunity of a long wonderful conversation with her encouraging me to teach my children to serve the Lord. . She was a gentle loving person who became a housewife after marrying Willard someitme after his first wife died . She smiled often and encouraged others to be the best they could be. I don't; remember all but I do think she said she worked for the telephone company for many years. Willard and Kenney enjoyed keeping family and friends laughing with their jokes and humorousness stories as did all the brothers. I never went away from Uncle Willard's home without a side ache from all the laughter, jokes, and stories. Sadily Uncle Willard died in his garage fixing a truck when the jack failed pinning him under the tucks wheel. Aunt Vie came out to check on him, his last word to her was I'm so sorry,. I love you. She called rescue but as soon as the truck was lifted he died. I lived several states away from Pekin all my life so meet them only a few times.
