William A. O'Neill, 84th Governor of Connecticut

William A. O'Neill was an American politician and member of the Democratic Party who served as the 84th Governor of Connecticut from 1980 to 1991. He was the second longest-serving governor in Connecticut history, with 10 years in office. (Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)

Note: In June 1945, O'Neill submitted a Social Security application using the name "William Patrick O'Neill." Throughout the rest of his life, he used the full name "William Atchison O'Neill."
