Published September 2, 2009Services for William “Bill” Heemsbergen, 74, of Troy will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Temple with The Rev. Justin Nguyen officiating.
Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery in Troy.
Mr. Heemsbergen died Sunday, Aug. 30, in a Temple hospital.
He was born Feb. 5, 1935, in Knoxville, Iowa, to Evert and Marie Meinderstma Heemsbergen. He owned and operated Cross Country Motors in Troy from 1980-1995. He was an auto-body man and a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen
Survivors include his wife, Terrie Heemsbergen of Troy; a daughter, Laurie Gajevsky of Pearland; three sons, Eric Beam of San Antonio, Todd Heemsbergen of Fort Worth, and Darren Heemsbergen of Rochester, Minn.; two sisters, Gertrude Reitveld and Dena Larsen, both of Albert Lee, Minn.; a brother, Melvin Heemsbergen of Zimmerman, Minn.; and seven grandchildren.
