   Register of Wills, Volume b, page 401, from The Brunton Family by Carolyn Mann, 1981:

"LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT

   of
   WILLIAM BRUNTON
   August 5, 1844

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN: I William Brunton of Green Township Beaver county and State of Pennsylvania being sick and weak in body, but of sound memory and understanding (praised be God for it) and considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time there of and to the end I may be the better prepared to leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me hence do therefore make and declare this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say.
First; and principally I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator, hoping for free pardon and remission of all my sins and to enjoy everlasting happiness in the heavenly kingdom through Jesus Christ my Savior. My body I commit to the earth at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter mentioned.
ITEM - 2nd - It is my will that all my just debts as shall be by me owing at my death together with my funeral charges or expenses and all charges touching the proving or otherwise concerning this my last will, shall in the first place out of my personal estate and effects be fully paid and satisfied and from and after payment there of and subject thereto then my will is -----
ITEM - 3rd - That my loving wife Barbara shall be comfortably maintained by the farm, and kindly treated and taken care of by my son Thomas during her natural life, that she shall have one black Mare one cow (her choice) 4 sheep also to be supported by the farm and one room in the mansion house during her natural life.
ITEM - 4th - It is my will that my son Thomas Brunton my Executor shall dispose of so much of such personal property as he may think proper (except such as is otherwise disposed of by this my last will) either by Public or private sale as will fully pay and discharge all my just debts.
ITEM - 5th - It is my will and I do hereby order and direct that my son John shall have fifty acres and allowance off the East end of the mansion farm, to include where he now lives and to be set apart by a North and South line. And the said John Brunton shall pay to my son William Brunton the sum of two hundred dollars in manner following viz: One hundred dollars two years after my decease and one hundred dollars three years after my decease, at which payment I do hereby order and direct my Executors to make and execute a sufficient conveyance for the same and to his heirs and assigns forever.
ITEM - 6th - It is my will and I do hereby and direct that my son Thomas Brunton get the remainder of the mansion farm, and that he pay to my son William Brunton the sum of Four hundred dollars in manner following. One hundred and twenty five dollars three years after my decease and one hundred and fifty dollars four years after my decease at which time it is my will that the court appoint some fit person to make him a deed for the same and to his heirs and assigns forever.
ITEM - 7th - It is my will and I do hereby order and direct that my tract of land situate in Hopewell township Beaver County containing one hundred and nine acres strict measure be equally divided between my two sons Joseph Brunton and Henry Brunton by a north and south line. I do hereby order and direct Thomas my Executor as soon as convenient after they make their division to execute to each a deed for his share to his and their heirs and assigns forever.
ITEM - 8th -- It is my will and I do hereby order and direct that my daughter Mary Jane receive as an outfit equal to the rest of my daughters (to-wit) One cow four sheep one bed and bedding household and kitchen furniture sufficient all of which to be furnished by Thomas Brunton out of common stock,
ITEM - 9th - It is my will and I do hereby order and direct that my son Joseph shall have and possess the yearling colt. and Henry the Colly Mare and two sets of plowgears and William the yearling horse coult.
ITEM - 10 - I do hereby make constitute and appoint my son Thomas sole Executor of this my last will and testament consisting of one sheet paper have set my hand and seal, declaring it to be my last will and testament the fifth day of August A. D. one thousand eight hundred and forty four

On the 1802 Tax List for First Moon Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania (available on the Beaver County genealogical website), there is a John Brunton who owned 300 acres, 5 horses, and 2 cows. John may be William Brunton's father or brother.
