The second of nine children born to John C & Ester (Terry, aka Terriy) Burris of Liberty Twp, Highland Co OH, William married Celia Bellard abt 1785 in NC. From a picture of her tombstone, it appears her name may have been Cecilia. Searching for marriage record and will post here when located.

John C. Burris Sr. was the son of John Burris and Ester Fadden. He married Esther Terriy, daughter of (William?) Terriy/Terry and Cheepoake Harris, about 1758 in NC. Their known children were: Rebecca [Rebeckah], William or Wilson, Moses, Daniel H., John C. Jr., Rachael [Rachel], Joseph M., Miles and Bowater.
