Eldest son and heir of Walter Calverley, Esq. Two known younger brothers, Thomas and Robert. The charter arranging his marriage to Agnes, daughter of Sir John Tempest, is on record in the British Museum. The last who retained the Scot to his name. His will was dated April 12, 1488. He married Agnes Tempest, daughter of Sir John Tempest of Bracewell by Alice, daughter of Sir Robert Sherbourne of Stonyhurst in Lancashire.
