Life Sketch
William Collins was away with their baby when his wife was visiting her mother, Anne Hutchinson, and was killed. Also killed were half a dozen of her many siblings. Her sister Suzanna was taken captive for several years until her older brother Edward paid a ransom for her release. The Hutchinson cabin was located in Pelham Bay Settlement, Long Island, which today is the Bronx, New York.
