Costello Dies Suddenly at Lone ElmUnknown Newspaper1943 William O. Costello passed away suddenly at his home in the Lone Elm community, near Forney, about noon Friday (Oct. 22, 1943). The body was removed to Anderson-Clayton Bros. funeral home and later returned to the home, where it will repose until the funeral hour. The service is to be held at St. Martin's church at Talty at 10 o'clock Sunday morning with Rev. Father Brady conducting the service. Interment will be made in the local Catholic cemetery. Active pallbearers: David Dennehy, Pat M. Maloney, Jack Pippins, Roland Travis, S. K. Adams, Martin Layden.William Owen Costello was born in Kaufman county on December 6, 1888. He married Miss Augusta Reynal, to which union eight children were born, two of whom preceded him in death. Surviving him are his wife; four sons, William Owen Costello Jr., now in the U. S. Army. Thomas Michael Costello, with the U. S. Air Force, Dennis Lawrence and Patrick James Costello, both at home; two daughters, Miss Catherine Costello, now in training at St. Paul hospital, Dallas. Miss Agnes Theresa Costello, also of Dallas; one borther, Mike Costello of Talty two sisters, Mrs. C. J. Adams and Miss Mary Costello.Mr. Costello had lived his entire life in the county of his birth where he had been engaged in farming. He was recognized as one of the best blackland farmers in this section.Mr. Costello had been a devout Catholic all of his life.Note: William Owen Costello is listed in the Texas Death Index. He died October 22, 1943 in Kaufman County.
