William Cowley, infant [Free Settler "Lady Penrhyn" 1788 died enroute]

Willliam was born c1786.

When his mother was sentenced to transportation to Australia, William came with her on the "Lady Penrhyn" which arrived in Sydney Cove on 26/1/1788.

There is a discrepancy in William's death

• It is stated that he died on 8/2/1788 whilst on the voyage to Australia however the ship had docked on 26/1/1788 so William possibly died earlier or waiting to be removed from the ship or he died just after they landed.
• Other records indicate he died 8/2/1787 on ship before it sailed to the colony
