About William DeHaven

William DeHaven, “Yeoman”, was a son of Peter and Sidonia (Levering) DeHaven. He was born 1714 in Whitpain Township, Montgomery County. PA. On March 31, 1739 in the First Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, he married Hannah Cramer (also seen as Cromber, Cramber, Cramer). Her father, Andrew Cramer, owned a tract of land a short distance from the DeHaven farm. On Dec. 10, 1742, his father Peter granted William 55 acres of land in Whitpain, part of the 105 acre tract bought by Peter in 1720. In 1768, William purchased an additional 16 acres of adjoining land. In his estate, he bequeathed to his children 70 acres. William and Hannah had nine children.

William died Sep 10, 1784 at the age of 70 and Hannah died on June 25, 1786 at age 69. Both are buried at Boehm’s Church, Blue Bell, Whitpain Township, Montgomery Co., PA.
