Bristol, Ga. - William J. Deal, Sr., 80 of Bristol, Ga. died Thursday, April 17, 2014. The Wayne County, Ga. native had lived in Bristol most of his life, attended Lake Chapel Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a produce, poultry and egg farmer and truck driver. He was predeceased by his parents, Jasper and Dicie Lightsey Deal.
Survivors are 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Rodney Brannen of Bristol, Ga., Kellie and Larry Hand of Baxley, Ga.; two sons, Kevin J. Deal of Bristol, Ga., William J. Deal, Jr. of Surrency, Ga.; a sister, Maxine Hutto Griffis of Screven, Ga. ; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be 11 A.M. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Lake Chapel Cemetery with Elder Jason Deal officiating along with the American Legion Post 311's presentation of the U.S. Flag.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery.
