Arkansas Gazette, June 25, 1908 page 3 col 2: Lacy - The Masonic lodge at Lacy elected the following officers Saturday: W.C. Lewis, W.M.: W.W. Wells, S.W.: S.L. McClain, J.W.: W.L. Deal, Treasurer: Jasper Lewis, Secretary. This is from a Centennial History of the BBA of AR written by: E.H. Acuff, LADELLE The Ladelle Church was organized September 29, 1913 in the Deal School House in Drew County by Reverend G.E. HOLT (associational missionary), Reverend H.H. ADCOCK (licensed at that time) and Brother J. M. DEAL, a deacon from Prairie Grove. The service opened by singing "Sweet Bye and Bye." Brother HOLT read Luke 6:12-16 and 1 Cor. 12:28 and commented on them. He also read from Pendleton's church manual and the church was organized on the basis of the manual like all our Othodox (sic) Baptist Churches. Brother HOLT was moderator and Brother J. M. DEAL clerk of the organization. The charter members were : W. L. DEAL and wife, H. A. JOHNSON and wife, T. N. JOHNSON, May JOHNSON and Susie BLAIR. Brother HOLT was elected temporary pastor. Brethren H. L. DEAL and W. L. DEAL were elected Deacons and Brother H. A. JOHNSON Clerk. The church came into the association October 4, 1913 at Ebenezer in Bradley County.
