SYCAMORE – William Perry Deer, 79, died Sunday in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Sycamore Baptist Church with burial in Fairfax Cemetery.

Mr. Deer, a retired farmer, was a son of the late John Wesley and Augustus Loadholt Deer.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mryene Potts Deer; a daughter, Mrs. L Thurmond Fuller of Greensboro, N.C.; a son John William Deer of Sycamore; and five sisters, Mrs. Edna Harter of Sycamore, Mrs. Marie Goodson of Ulmer, Mrs. Rosa Dobson and Mrs. Ella Ford of Columbia and Mrs. Myrtis Hiers of Ehrhardt.

Smith Memorial Funeral Home of Allendale is in charge.
