About William Dickinson
Emigrated to New Zealand, where his nieces Elizabeth and Marjorie Hunter visited him (in Nelson) in 1852. He is probably the "Mr Dickerson" (or "Dickenson" or Dickinson" - the manuscript is not so easy to read) who is registered as a cabin passenger on the "Lloyds", which arrived in Nelson in 1842. The register shows him as married but without children. It also shows that he had a servant or labourer, whose agent is shown as GB Lowes.
