About William Durgin, Jr.
William was the son of William and Martha Durgin. Catherine Matthews was his Stepmother.
William (2) of Durham, who married Elizabeth Pinder, she died in childbirth, of son William, Oct. 24, 1721. On his death he left a second wife who was to have her thirds of his estate. He was the eldest of the three sons. --
William Durgin (2) was a farmer in vic. of Durham, NH. all his life., He had militia service from 2 Nov. 1695 to 6 March 1696. On 6 Apr.1716 he signed a petition that Durham be separated from Dover, New.Hampshire.
On 25 April 1703, William and his brother James Durgin (2) were cited into court by his "Stepmother" Catherine Durgin ( Matthews) to deliver certain property now in their hands, formerly belonging to their late father. She and her sister wanted there share.
