Bluffton Evening News Monday, August 22, 1904 Page 3, Column 2 William Earhart, one of the pioneer citizens of Markle, died there Saturday afternoon of old age. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Welker at the Evangelical church this afternoon and the remains were taken to Emanuels church for burial. Mr. Earhart was a charter member of the Emanuels Reformed church and was the father of Mrs. Rev. Kain.
