William Franklin Floyd was the eldest son of Hardy and Sarah Ann Mincey Floyd. He was a farmer in western Horry County, SC and married Rosa Ella Johnson Floyd. The had eleven children who served in two World Wars and contributed to the community in a positive way. Children of William Franklin Floyd and Rosa Ella Johnson Floyd were Fred Eugene, Edna, James Clyde, Nina, Leslie, George, Madge, William Alton, Elbert, Grace, and Francis Howard.
I was told by my grandmother Attelia Roberts Floyd, daughter-in-law of Rosa Ella and William that their first child Maude died as an infant. I have found no record of "Infant Maude Floyd" and thus added no profile, but wanted to include an entry here it ever surfaced.
"Daddy Bill" was known for training hunting dogs and the occasional swear word. SFG
