I, WILLIAM FUQUA of L, being sick and weak in body - To my wifeElizabeth Fuqua - the plantation whereon I now live, and all the landsand plantations thereunto belonging, during her natural life.

After her death,
To my son SAMUEL FUQUA - the plantation whereon I now live, and allthe lower end of the same land, up to a line which I have caused to bemade, beginning at a corner elm on the River bank at the Ford, thencerunning by the Ford of Buck Branch at the foot of the Hill, and so bya meadow on the head of Wolf Trap Branch, continuing to a corner whiteoak on a Ridge, thence turning northward to a corner shrub white oakand red oak in the back line by a path.

To my son JOSEPH FUQUA - after my wife's death, all the upper end ofmy land, from the line above mentioned up to the mouth of TurnipCreek.

To my son MOSES FUQUA - all my tract of land in Bedford Co. at aplace called Sturgeon Town.

To my son WILLIAM FUQUA - all my tract of land on Dan River whereonWilliam Robinson now lives.

To my wife ELIZABETH FUQUA - the following slaves: Joe, ill, Vol,Abraham, Mol, Doll, Dick, and Sarah, during her natural life, and thento be disposed by her among my children at her own discretion.

To my son JOHN FUQUA - the following slaves: Vol the Younger, Tom,Tim, Jacob, and Peter.

To my son WILLIAM FUQUA - the following slaves: Fillis, Young Will,Ben, Dallew, and Hanah.

To my wife's (should say well beloved and not wife's) daughter SARAHWARD - the following slaves: Luse, Charles, Stepney, Charles theYounger, and Tom the Elder, to her and her heirs, and if none such, tobe distributed among my sons (her brothers).

To my son JOSEPH FUQUA - the following slaves: Fanny, Squire, Dury,Harry, and Young Jean.

At Mar 3, 1761 Court, the will of the deceased was exhibited in Courtby John Fuqua and Joseph Fuqua, the executors, and the same was provedby the oaths of 2 of the witnesses, and ordered to be recorded. And onthe motion of said executors, certificate is granted them forobtaining a probate of the said will, they giving security, whereuponthey, together with Paul Carrington and Clement Read Jr, theirsecurities, entered into their bond, reserving liberty to ElizabethFuqua, the executrix, to join in the probate thereof, when she shallthink fit.
