MB That the William Gott family is likely a family that moved from Gloucester MA after the American Revolution, maybe was living with his family on the Pejebscot Claim in 1790, as he was single and was not counted in Greene in 1790. There is a William Gott listed as a settler in Greene ME in 1784 (Androscoggin Historical Society settlers list made by a court order of 1800). Our hypothesis is he was William Gott's father.
