William Forbes, 3rd Lord Forbes married Lady Christian Gordon, daughter of Alexander Gordon, 1st Earl of Huntly and Elizabeth Crichton, circa 8 July 1468.[1]

He died between 9 July 1477 and 5 July 1483.[1]

He was the son of James Forbes, 2nd Lord Forbes and Egidia Keith.[1]

William Forbes, 3rd Lord Forbes also went by the nick-name of 'Gray Willie'.[1]

He succeeded to the title of 3rd Lord Forbes [S., 1445] before 30 July 1462.[1]
