William Harris c1516-1559 married Jane Semer of "Brawghinge" (probably Bocking) c1540 Only one known child, a son William Harris of Willingale Doe, Essex. c1545- after1601 married Joan Hardings 6 May 1576.

There are several different theories about how this William Harris (born c. 145) relates to Arthur Harris and Joan Percy. I've seen some genealogists run the gamut with 4 consecutive William Harris's, but the dates absolutely do not match up.

I have simply chosen the most logical dates and ordered them that way. Hopefully as the research progresses, we can work out how exactly all these Harris's tie together.
