See Philippa Dane's "The Great Houses of Constantia" for the story of WFH's purchase of Bergvliet, the forged will bequeathing it to i Michael Hiddingh and the eventual inheritance by his sisters Sophia Wilhelmina Hertzog, (who had married Walter Patrick Joseph Purcell) and Anna Margaretha Hertrzog, (who had married James Henry Jeffcoat).
