1776 Military Service of William Howland
William Howland was a Revolutionary War Soldier from Rhode Island. During the Revolution, he resided in Gloucester, Rhode Island. William Howland enlisted in 1776 as a Minute Man for the duration of the war. He served under Captain Timothy Wilmot, Lieut. Cabel Sheldon, Col Freys Regiment of Infantry in Rhode Island. He served 21 months and 10 days[4]
