About William Waldo Hyde

William Waldo Hyde was a lawyer and a Democratic politician in Connecticut. He served one term as Mayor of Hartford, from April 4, 1892 through April 2, 1894. He ran again 1900 but was defeated.

William Waldo Hyde's maternal grandfather, Loren Pinckney Waldo, was a state judge and U.S. Congressman. William's brother Frank Eldridge Hyde was a member of the Connecticut General Assembly and the U.S. Consul to Lyon.
