About William John Epplett
ACCIDENT NO. 10— December 28th.— William Eplett was fatally injured at the 52nd level south of No. 7 shaft, Hecla Branch of the Calumet and Hecla Mine, by a piece of vein rock falling, crushing his left leg. He was taken to the Mining Company's Hospital. It was found the leg was severely crushed. He died on the 29th, and the cause of death was due to shock and exhaustion from severe hemorrhage resulting from the badly crushed leg.
