On Page 27, Ross County, it reads as follows: “Emancipation ESTHER REDMAN and WILLIAM KENDALL (p. 104) 19Jul 1829: THOMAS ORR, JP, testified that NATHAN THURMAN appeared before him to swear he emancipated ESTHER REDMAN, a black woman, aged about 45 years, and her son, WILLIAM KENDALL, a mulatto boy, aged about 25 years when he moved to Ohio from Virginia in 1819.”
