About William Laramie
William P. "Bill" Laramie, 58, of Conway, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. Born on Jan. 5, 1955, he was the eldest son to William Laramie and Barbara (Bailey, Laramie) Chute.
Bill grew up in Lynn, Mass. and graduated from Lynn Classical. He was married to his first wife, Judy, where they lived in Lynn before heading up to New Hampshire.
Bill loved tattoos, his body was covered in them and he enjoyed every single one of them. He also enjoyed his motorcycles. He had owned Harleys and believed Harleys were the only bikes to have. Bill also enjoyed playing the lottery. He was one of the few people who had very good luck scratching tickets and his favorites were the Christmas tree and the 7s.
After Bill moved up to they valley, he started working at the Center of Hope where he spent over 20 years in the profession. Bill was very involved in the community, where he was the president of the softball league and worked with Kennett High School football boosters.
Bill was a great person and friend. After his wife, Judy, became sick, Bill took care of her until the day of her death. If you needed anything, Bill was the friend who would have been right there to help you out. After a few years, Bill would re-marry to Margaret Ross. They met at work and were married on Dec. 31, 2008.
He spent the rest of his life with Margaret and her two boys, who he considered very much as his own children and become the figure father for them. He also enjoyed the company of his dog, Ozzy.
Every morning you could find Bill at the Circle K in North Conway with his best friend, George, sharing laugh and a cup of coffee. Bill was able to own a Jeep, which everyone in this valley knew from the squeak you hear coming down the road.
He was preceded by his first wife, Judy (Melcher) Laramie; his parents, Barbara and William Laramie; and a mother-in-law Marilyn Ross-Libby.
