GEDCOM Note

From:BELL, NIXON, BARROWS, McKINLEY, COOPER FAMILIES by Judie Clarkare many spellings of the last name in this family: Laurenson, Larrison, Lorrison, Larison, Lorison, Larisun, Larason...take your pick. Larisun Familie History seems to skip William's generation and attaches his son James to William's father John. The age difference would make this possible, but considering that John died before the birth of at least some of Williams children, it become impossible. A Chronical of Everyday People does name these children of William.

"A Chronicle of Everyday People" States that William is known to have been with an emigration from Newtown and the Inventory of the estate of Theophilius Phillips of Maidenhead, NJ has the item of L131-11s-2d due from William Larison March 19th, 1708/09. 1708/10 he settled near what now is Hopewell, NJ. He was on the tax list of Hunterdon Co., in 1722.

"Pioneers of Old Hopewell"do make and Constitute my beloved son John Larison and son-in-law David Stout to be my executors of this my will and do Empower them to Collect in my debts and dispose of my Estate to the best advantage at discretion of my Executors and after paying my Just Debts Funeral Charges and my aforesaid Legacy to Divide the remainder as aforesaid among my aforesaid sons William Thomas John and George and I do hereby revoke and Disannul all other Wills, Whatsoever heretofore by me made Ratifying and Conforming this and only this to be my Last Will and Testament.
