William Leigh

Third marriage. -Chester, in his Westminster Abbey Index (wherein she is called Joan Perry), in the note for Theophilus Leigh's marriage to Mary Brydges, says that she was William's third wife. It is possible, even likely, that his earlier children were born to his first wives.

William Leigh (William /Leigh/ of Longborough, Gloucestershire, Rowland /Leigh/ of Adlestrop and Longborough, Thomas /Leigh/ Lord Mayor of London (1558), Roger /Leigh/ of Rushall) was born ABT 1604, and died 17 JUN 1690. He married Joanna Pury, daughter of Thomas /Pury/ Mayor of Gloucester (1653); M.P. and Mary /Alye/. She died BEF 1689. He married Margaret Guise, daughter of William /Guise/ Kt. He married Sanders.
