About William Leonard
GEDCOM Note
Biography ==A much quoted source for Leonard family genealogy is Hannah Deane, thedaughter of James Leonard, co-founder of the iron works at Taunton. Zephaniah, the grandson of her brother James, recorded her account of the family. She said that her grandfather Thomas had six sons, Henry, James, William, John, Philip and Thomas. Henry and James came to New England, as did Philip and Thomas. She also said that "William and John never came out of England."<ref>Deane, William Reed. Genealogical Memoir of the Leonard Family.
