WESTOVER—Sarah Virginia Maddox, 86, of Westover, the daughter of the late Harry McKinley and Ollie Olivia Shreeves, was born Nov. 7, 1926, in Cottage Grove. She was called to eternal rest on July 10, 2013. Virginia leaves fond memories to be cherished by her children, Detroit O. Maddox, Jr. of Westover, Gwendolyn D. Maddox of Columbia, Md., and Dale T. Maddox of Fruitland; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry McKinley and Ollie O. Shreeves; one brother, William M. Shreeves and husband, Detroit O. Maddox, Sr. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at John Wesley (Cottage Grove) United Methodist Church in Westover, where friends may call two hours prior. Reverend Moor Holloman will be the Eulogist. Friends may also call 6-8 p.m. Friday at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Anthony E.
