William Annanias McMullin

Many sources, including his grave marker and the paper given to mourners at his funeral, list William Annanais McMullin's date of birth as October 22, 1869. William's brother Robert's birth date is thought to be June 26, 1869; one or the other must be in error.

There exists a draft obituary hand-written by one of William's adult children on the day of his death (see "Sources" tab elsewhere on this page) which states, "Yr 1935... William Annanais McMullin 67, died at his home one mile north of Batavia at 6 A.M. today... Dad's Birthday was Oct. 22, 1868..." If he was 67 years old when he died in December, 1935, he must have been born in 1868.
