"History Of The Town Of Peterborough, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire" 1839
Was young when his father moved to Peterborough. After he married Betsey he moved to Dublin in about 1760 and remained there 4-5 years. His son, Robert, was the first male child born in Dublin. His name is found in a list of persons who worked on the roads in 1761, 1762, 1764 and 1765. He returned to Peterborough in 1765 or 1766 to succeed his father's homestead. He was elected deacon in Mr. Dunbar's church 11/28/1799 with William Smith, Jonathan Smith, Robert Morison and Nathaniel Holmes.

Note: After his marriage he removed to Dublin, N.H. about 1760, and remained there some four or five years; and his son Robert was born there, and was the first male child born in Dublin. He lived on or near the spot afterwards owned and occupied by Cyrus Piper. His name is found on a list of persons who worked on the roads in 1761, '62, '64 and '65. He is then supposed in 1765 or '66 to have returned to town and succeeded his father on the homestead. He was elected a deacon in Mr. Dunbar's church Nov. 28, 1799 with Wm.
