St. Peter's Parish in New Kent County, Virginia is an Episcopal church. The parish was founded in 1679 and the present church building was built 1701-1703.William Moss and Elizabeth Martin were married at St. Peter's Episcopal church on November 20, 1711.County records for New Kent County, Virginia were destroyed by the Union Army during the Civil War. The army occupied the church, but did not destroy it.The records for this part of the family were found in Vestry Book and Registry of St. Peter's Parish: New Kent and James City Counites, Virginia, 1674-1786.
