...He was the son of William Mure, also a former MP for Renfrewshire, and nephew of David Mure. His sister Emma was the mother of Thomas Lister, 4th Baron Ribblesdale. In 1859 he married Constance Elizabeth, daughter of George Wyndham, 1st Baron Leconfield; their daughter Marjorie married the second Baron Biddulph."
