George Newton was born in 1643 in England. He was the first Newton that we have record of in America. He died in Virginia in 1694. He married Frances Mason, daughter of Lemeul and Anne Searvell Mason.

Their son, George Newton, Jr. was born in 1678 in Virginia. He died in 1762. In 1706, he married Alpha Wilson, daughter of James and Elizabeth Wilson.

William Newton, the son of George Newton, Jr. and Alpha Newton, was born in Virginia in 1726. He married Mary Holloway. This William Newton also had a son William Newton, Jr. who was born in 1750 and died in February, 1817.
