About William Parker
He was born in Nova Scotia (Bear River) and then it appears he came to Massachusetts in 1865 with his father Wilbur. The Parker family were Tories in the revolutionary war and Abijah Parker moved to Nova Scotia for that reason. So the family returned about 100 years later. In the 1910 Census he and his wife Abbie lived in Somerville Mass and had 6 children. They lived at 27 Oxford. St . In1896 they lived on Antrim Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
He was a carpenter and built houses in Cambridge and Somerville , Mass. area. One of the houses was38 1/2 on Antrim St and another was 76 Antrim Street in Cambridge, Ma. He would build a house and the family would live in it and then it would sell and he would build another house,

in the 1910 census he was 64 in Sommerville, Massachusetts, living with his wife Abbie and his son Joseph. it said he immigrated from Canada in 1865 and both his parents were born in Canada.
His family was from Bear River,Nova Scotia.Four generations of Parkers spent part or all of their lives in Nova Scotia. Some went as Tories and other to get land.. This Parker line are descendents of Matthiew Parker-Queen Elizabeth's -first protestant bishop.Russell Capen writes that when he was in England he found a painting of him in an old church, now a museum., in Norwich England. All the ancestors in this Parker line come from England.
William Parker was a member of a fundamentalist religious group and allowed no dancing or card playing at home. In the evening they would play tiddle-de-winkds around the dining room table, while Alice Maude was doing the dishes in the kitchen.
