About William Bryan Prewitt, Jr
William B. Prewitt, 69, of Carlisle, formerly of Bourbon County, died Monday, September 6, 1999 at the Winchester Manor Nursing Home. A native of Montgomery County, he was the son of the late William and Sophie Wilson Prewitt. He was a retired fork lift operator from the Lexington Bluegrass Army Depot and a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Spears Mill Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Edna Bruner Prewitt, Carlisle; three sons, William Bryan (Sherry) Prewitt III, Lexington; Robert Buchanan (Jeannine) Prewitt, Washington County, David Allen Prewitt, Carlise; one daughter, Delila Ann Bruner, Carlisle; six brothers, Gatesby Prewitt, Albert Prewitt, Tommy Prewitt, all of Mt. Sterling, Roger Prewitt, Jeffersonville; Strauter Prewitt, Lexington, and Davis Prewitt, IL; eight sisters, Emma Prewitt, Owingsville, Bertha Wallace, Hillsboro, Bettye Soper, Millersburg, Bernice McCall, Winchester, Lillie Roberts, MD and Jane Martin, Mt. Sterling, Eileen Culbertson, Lexington, Anna Wills, Harrodsburg; two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 9, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home by Rev. Lowell Rice. Burial will be in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
