William Pringle was enrolled as a burgess of Edinburgh on 8 January 1579-80, in right of having served his apprenticeship with the deceased Thomas Hoppringell, lister in Edinburgh. He was enrolled as a guild brother on 11 December 1599. Roll of Edinburgh Burgesses: 407
