About William Raymond, III
According to Genealogies of the Raymond Families of New England, 1650-1 to 1886, compiled by Samuel Raymond and published in 1886, William Raymond settled in Rochester, MA, where he was a prominent citizen, Town Clerk 1733-37 and various other town offices and was a member of the Congregational Church. He lived at "Raymond Landing," which was afterwards set off to Wareham.
His first wife, Deborah Balch, died May 5, 1717. He then married Tabitha Edwards on October 3, 1717.
