OBITUARY NORTHAMPTON PIONEER DEATH OF MR. WILLIAM ROSSER After a somewhat protracted illness, during the latter portion of which he was treated at the St. John of God Hospital at Geraldton another district pioneer in the person of Mr. William Rosser passed away at that institution on Sunday night last. The deceased gentleman, who was seventy-seven years of age, was born and married at Northampton, having reared a large family and lived in that district during the whole of his life. He was pre deceased by his wife some years ago. but is survived by four sons in Messrs. William Rosser (Geraldton), John Rosser (Mt. Magnet), Percy and Joseph Rosser (Northampton), and five daughters Violet (Mrs. J. Thomas. Northampton), Daisy (Mrs. E. Stubbs. Katanning), Alice (Mrs. E Willcocks. Cue), Sarah (Mrs. S. Mifflin, Geraldton) and Edith (Mrs. J Mansell, Northampton). Two other members of the family in Mr. Owen Rosser and Mrs. H. W. Johnson (Esther) also predeceased the late Mr. Rosser. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon last in the presence of a large gathering of friends and relatives, a brief service being conducted at the Northampton Anglican Church by the Rev F. G. Bush prior to the cortege proceedings to the Northampton Cemetery. The chief mourners at the grave side were Messrs. Joseph, Percy and William Rosser (sons). Mesdames J. Mansell, S. Mifflin. J. Thomas and E. Willcocks (daughters). Mr. T. Rosser (brother) and Mr. S. Mifflin (son-in-law). The pall-bearers were Messrs. S Hoskens, G. Clifton, A. Rob, J. Williams. E. Williams. A. Mitchell, F. Mitchell and H. McNamara and the carriers were Messrs. T. P. Crothers, H. Smith, E. Thomas and R. Stokes. The mortuary arrangements were : carried out by Mr. Aidan Pinder, of Geraldton. in conjunction with Mr. C. James, of Northampton.
