25 June 1375-76: Charter by which Robert II, King of Scots, confirms possession of the mill of Ballernache to John Peny, which had been given to him by the deceased William of Ruthvem: "quas quondam Willelmus de Rothven fecit Johanni Peny".This charter also confirmed his possession of one bovate of land in Ballernache which had also been given to him by William of Ruthven.
