About William Seekins, Sr
Aaron Seekins had eight sons, three of whom, Benjamin, Josiah and William, migrated to Maine from Vermont shortly after 1800.
Benjamin and Josiah ultimately settled in Swanville, although they originally settled in Malta (Windsor) along with their father. Together they had 29 children who were the ancestors of all the Seekins families in Maine. Aaron and his wife, Tabitha apparently followed them or came with them and died at Swanville about 1830.
