About William Starr
He was the illegitimate son of Philadelphia Starr, born when she was only 14.
William,s father is not recorded in parish church records, & he quoted "Richard Millham" as his father, probably for expediency, when applying for migration to Australia.
The "Orient" set sail on 14th November 1838 for Australia, a trip that lasted 141 days, arriving in Australia 4th April 1839.
Inscription Reads: William Starr Born Sussex, England, Born 8 December 1807. Died 8 November 1874 Aged 67 years Leaving a wife and family.
Buried C/of E section of Rookwood cemetry.
