About William T. Lukkarila
Obituary: William T. Lukkarila, 61, 907 E. 6th St., died Sunday in a Superior hospital. He was born in Maple, Jan. 10, 1910 and had been a Superior resident since 1948. He was an employee of the Cleveland Cliffs Steam Ship Company, retiring in 1969 as an engineer after 37 years of service. He was a member of the Marine Engineer's Beneficial Association. He is survived by his wife, Millie; two sons, Roger W. and Clyde R., Superior; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph E. Wicklund, Superior; one brother, Oscar Emil, Maple; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home with the Rev. Gilbert M. Lee officiating. Burial will be in the Faith Lutheran Cemetery, Maple. Pallbearers will be Matt Wiinamaki, William E. Bogan, Lee Jarvinen, Norman J. Forness, Louis J. Fleming and Marcus Meyer. --Evening Telegram - January 1971 - Superior, Wisconsin
