William Alexander Taylor was in Co E, 39th Ky Infantry in the Civil War. William was said to have been a strong and hearty man until about a few years before his death. The pension file says William was in a fight and was struck in the head by a rock. The blow to his head was said to have led to paralysis. Another date for William and Sarah's marriage was given as March 15, 1829. That date was said to have been an error.
